About Me
Hi, I’m Tina Nakhleh Falkenbury—but you can call me Tina. I’m an Arab American voice actor based in the scenic mountains of Virginia—close enough to Washington, DC for opportunity, but far enough away to keep my sanity.
I grew up across the Middle East, North Africa, and the UK (that’s the United Kingdom, not the University of Kentucky), which left me with a rich cultural perspective—and a mild identity crisis about how to pronounce “aluminum.”
I’m fluent in English and Arabic, can passably order a croissant in French, and a cappuccino in Italian. Thanks to my formative years in England, my British accent is factory-installed and can slip in (or out) without much warning.
Early in my career, I was an interior architect, and in 2006 I founded Depicting Life Photography, a portrait photography business. Apparently, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling—just in different forms.
I eventually traded suburban life for the mountains of Virginia. It’s peaceful, though I’m fairly certain the local deer are getting tired of my vocal warm-ups.
I love narrating mystery thrillers, historical fiction, comedy, and biographical nonfiction—basically, if it has a plot twist, a deep thought, or a good laugh, I’m in.
I’m also a stage actor and have played everything from leading ladies to bearded villains, so slipping into different characters (and occasionally arguing with myself in multiple voices) comes naturally at this point.
When I’m not behind a mic, you’ll find me traveling with my family, in the garden trying to negotiate with plants, or creating art. Occasionally, I cook with the intensity of a Cordon Bleu chef but with mixed results.
According to people who don’t have to live with me, I’m a total joy to be around. I’m also relentlessly curious. I take narration seriously—I don’t just wing it. I’m constantly in the virtual classroom, and I’ve spent more time in coaching sessions and masterclasses than I’d care to admit. Because if I’m going to spend my days talking to myself in a padded room, I might as well be the most overeducated person in there.
If you need a voice that’s warm, professional, and carries the weight of four continents, I’m your person.
